Organizational Profile

The Volunteer Coordinators’ Association Sarnia-Lambton (VCASL) is comprised of community organizations that coordinate volunteers, as well as all individuals that are interested in or actively employed in the field of volunteerism. VCASL meets bimonthly and holds election of officers(President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer) at the annual meeting each year. All members are required to actively participate in the Standing Committees: Volunteer Recognition, Program and Education, Publicity and Website. An annual membership fee is required.

History

The Volunteer Coordinators’ Association Sarnia-Lambton was founded in the fall of 1982 as a result of a need expressed by agencies utilizing volunteers who attended a volunteer workshop in Sarnia in the spring of that same year.
