Big Sisters of Sarnia-Lambton

Services

Provide an environment conducive to development of self-esteem in girls from the age of 5.
Also for boys from mother-absent homes.
One-on-one and group mentoring relationships with adult female volunteers.
Big sisters serve as positive role models and provide opportunities for new life experiences.

Volunteer Roles

Big Sister: Adult female 18 years and older who spends 4 hours per week, for one year minimum with a little sister.
Big Bunch Volunteer: Adult female 18 years and older. 3 big bunch volunteers are matched with 2 girls from waiting list who meet together to have fun every second week for 6 months.
Associate member: Volunteer recruitment, administrative tasks, fundraising and group programs.
