VOLUNTEERING: A Great Way To Grow

Fundraising Sponsorship Lead: Relay For Life Sarnia, Canadian Cancer Society

Posted by on February 7th, 2020 | Posted in Header Intro

There is a wonderful opportunity to create a meaningful event in your community that celebrates those who have lived, are living, and moving past cancer. The Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life event brings neighbors, friends, and community influencers together, united by the common goal of creating a world where no Canadian fears cancer. The experience of cheering on survivors, walking the track, and joining in a range of trackside activities at Relay For Life (RFL) creates an unforgettable evening!

Fundraising and Sponsorship Lead
As a Sponsorship Lead, you are self-motivated, strategic, and have community knowledge/connections. In compliance with the procedures for seeking donations and sponsorship, you will work with your team to find donation sources for the event. Donations may include monetary contributions or items that will be needed on the big night. These resources will benefit volunteers, participants, and survivors and make a significant contribution to the success of the event.

The committee will meet regularly over the course of the year, with increasing commitments as the event approaches. Each committee member will have their own portfolio but will share a passion for the mission: to provide the opportunity for those affected by cancer to come together and draw support while raising funds for critical, life-saving cancer research and programs.
Interested? Would you like to know more? Please contact the Office at 519-332-0042 or email sarniarelay@cancer.ca if you would like to learn about RFL committee positions and this particular role. We cannot wait to chat with you about how your involvement will have a positive, long-lasting impact!

Community is bigger than cancer. Join the Canadian Cancer Society on a Relay For Life organizing committee. Your actions speak louder than cancer.
