Services

The Boys and Girls Club of Sarnia/Lambton has been providing for the social and recreational needs of area young people since 1971. We currently provide services to 537 area youth between the ages of 5 – 18. Our Club’s success and longevity can be attributed to our commitment to offering programs designed to meet the needs of youth as whole human beings. What distinguishes our programs from the vast array of ameliorative services is our emphasis on supporting the socialization and healthy development of young people. Our programs respond to client identified needs and creates opportunities for young people that are personally enhancing rather than ‘child-saving’ in nature. We offer an atmosphere in which we strive to impact on the long term well being of our members by encouraging personal responsibility, initiative and self reliance.  The Boys and Girls Club is committed to the provision of services for Youth which will support their development as individuals, enhance their socialization skills, promote healthy peer relationships, build a positive self-image and ensure equal access to facilities, programs and opportunities regardless of social, economic, physical or personal development levels. Additionally: • Non-denominational • Activities do not require special clothing or equipment • All programs developed at a local level; programs not mandated by national or provincial organizations.
