Services

The Sarnia Lambton Chapter was formed by a group of concerned citizens in 1966.  Our objective is to raise funds for research and to provide services to persons with MS in Lambton County.  The hard work of our volunteers helps to make this possible.   The chapter operates with a volunteer board and 2 part time staff.   Multiple sclerosis is an unpredictable disease, but you’re not alone. There are people in your community who understand what you and your family and friends are experiencing. Our chapter is here to help. The primary clients of the MS Society of Canada are people who are:  Living with a diagnosis of MS Waiting for a diagnosis with respect to MS Close to a person with MS, such as family and friends Caregivers to a person with MS, who may also include family and friends In addition to serving its primary clients, MS Society volunteers and staff also provide information and support to health professional, employers, institutions and students. 1. Information & Referral about multiple sclerosis 2. Support & Supportive Counseling Sarnia Support Group (for persons with MS) County Support Group (for persons with MS) Caregivers Group (for caregivers of persons with MS) Newly Diagnosed Group Individual Advocacy FUNDING ASSISTANCE may be available to assist in purchasing necessary equipment. Equipment Program Special Assistance Program EDUCATION is offered for persons with MS and their families, chapter members, health care professionals and others in the community.
