Services

Hospice follows a two-pronged approach: residential care and community-based programs and services. The residence provides a home-like atmosphere where individuals, their families and other members of their support team can receive compassionate care and comfort through end-of-life. Hospice is also about providing emotional and spiritual support for the terminally ill and their loved ones. Services and facilities are provided free of charge and available to all residents of Sarnia Lambton, regardless of faith, culture or race.

Volunteer Roles

Our Volunteers offer their time, compassion and expertise in 23 different roles here at St. Joseph’s Hospice. Their talents span a wide variety of activities of care, from welcoming our residents and clients to assisting our professional staff with the direct personal bedside care of our residents, to gardening, preparing meals, assisting in fundraising events and leading bereavement programs to those grieving a loss. We would not be able to function effectively, nor provide such wonderful programs, services, care and compassion without our volunteers valuable contributions.
