VOLUNTEERING: A Great Way To Grow

Technology Savvy Volunteer

Fairwinds Lodge is looking for a volunteer who is familiar with various forms of technology such as cellphones, I-pads, computers and is interested in assisting seniors in our community with learning about these devices. Volunteers would be responsible for meeting one on one with residents to help answer their questions regarding their technological devices. Volunteers must be comfortable working with little supervision and communicating with seniors.

Program Volunteers Needed

Rebound is looking for volunteers who are 18+ to assist with our 10-week programs. If you are an adult with a big heart who would enjoy working with youth during our evening programs, this is the opportunity for you.

Program volunteers work with youth ages 8 – 17 one night a week for 10 weeks. These volunteers spend 2.5 – 3 hours per week and provide a supportive atmosphere that allows youth to open up and honestly examine their lives and actions. Program volunteers work directly with the youth and are responsible for engaging youth, encouraging them to participate, and help them with goal setting.

Program volunteers must attend an orientation, provide 2 references, a vulnerable sector police clearance and attend two observation sessions in order to fully participate as a volunteer. Please check out our wide range of programs at www.reboundonline.com to see what we have to offer the youth in our community.

Special Event Volunteers

Volunteers needed for Juke Box Challenge held each March. We need outgoing, proactive and organized volunteers to join our committee, help plan & work on the night of the event. Don’t want a long term commitment? That’s okay because we need many “night of” volunteers. If this interests you, please give us a call or send us an email. There may also be other times of the year when you could help. Let’s talk and explore possibilities.

Occasional Bingo Volunteer

We are currently looking for an occasional Bingo volunteer at the North Lambton Lodge.
