The City of Sarnia’s Adopt-a-Driveway Program matches volunteers with older adults and residents living with disabilities who require assistance clearing snow from their driveways, sidewalks, and windrows. As a volunteer, you’ll help ensure community members can safely access essential services, attend appointments, receive deliveries, and remain connected to their community throughout the winter season. Volunteers are assigned a local property and are asked to clear snow when accumulations exceed three inches. All equipment, including shovels, salt, and safety vests, is provided. Whether volunteering as an individual, family, school group, or workplace team, this is a rewarding opportunity to give back, stay active, and help make Sarnia a more accessible and caring community.

Role Description:
Support literacy with every number called! Join Literacy Lambton as a Charity Bingo Volunteer and help raise essential funds that fuel our free community programs. Volunteering at scheduled bingo sessions at Jackpot Time Gaming Entertainment in Sarnia, you’ll represent our organization while helping the event run smoothly. This is a low-effort, high-impact opportunity for individuals who enjoy friendly environments and want to make a meaningful difference behind the scenes. No experience needed—just a friendly attitude and a few hours a month!
Primary Responsibilities:
• Matched with a bingo buddy, you and your volunteer partner will work a two (2) hour bingo shift
• Participate as an enthusiastic ambassador for Literacy Lambton while at the bingo hall
• Ensure a positive and professional presence. Wear a provided branded shirt and name tag; long black pants required.
Secondary Responsibilities:
•Maintain communication with ED regarding availability and shift scheduling
• Support onboarding of new volunteers as needed
Skills/Qualifications Needed:

• Dependable and punctual with access to transportation

Bingo Volunteers -shift are 2 1/2 hours and are usually 2 times a months – shifts can be between Monday to Monday from 9 am – 10 pm.
You would assist with cleaning up tables after customers leave, assist with counting players, greet and thank them for attending.
We send out shifts every 2 months.

The Kidney Foundation partners with Jackpot Time to raise funds for our programs.
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to volunteer at Jackpot Time (825 Upper Canada Dr, Sarnia), and represent The Kidney Foundation at the site, performing duties such as clean-up and handing out ballots, and sharing information about our organization to the guests.
Volunteer Duties:
Location: 825 Upper Canada Dr, Sarnia ON N7W 1A3 (In-person role; preference for volunteers residing in Sarnia)
Age Requirement: 18 years or older
Time Commitment: We ask volunteers to commit to at least two shifts a year. Please note that when a volunteer misses a shift, this results in a loss of funds for The Kidney Foundation.
Dress Code: Golf shirt provided (must be worn every shift); Black or dark pants; comfortable closed-toe shoes (Not permitted: denim, tank tops, sweatpants, yoga pants, shorts, skirts, hats, or clothing with bright patterns or excessive wear.)
Training: 2-hour online training required and a shadowing shift.

The funds raised by Jackpot Time will assist with The Kidney Foundation’s Short-Term Financial Assistance Program, providing financial relief to individuals living with kidney disease.

Jackpot Time Bingo in Sarnia is a supporter of the VON. Each month we provide volunteers to serve the patrons at one or two Bingos. We are currently in need of two volunteers to represent VON by serving at these Bingos. Training will be provided.
Administrative Office Support volunteers needed to assist with a variety of administrative tasks.
Assist our clientele by answering phones and directing calls to the appropriate department. Filing, copying, stuffing envelopes, data entry and various duties as needed. Some roles require intermediate computer skills, while others require good organizational skills and being detail-oriented. Tasks are variable based on deadlines.
