We are currently in need of two volunteers to represent VON by serving at these Bingos. Training will be provided. All VON volunteers must show proof of at least 2 shots of Covid vaccine. We are currently most in need of volunteers who are available during the day on weekdays.
Program Volunteers
Rebound is looking for volunteers who are 18+ to assist with our 10-week programs. If you are an adult with a big heart who would enjoy working with youth during our evening programs, this is the opportunity for you.
Program volunteers work with youth ages 8 – 17 one night a week for 10 weeks. These volunteers spend 2.5 – 3 hours per week with youth and provide a supportive atmosphere that allows youth to open up and honestly examine their lives and actions. Program volunteers work directly with the youth and are responsible for engaging youth, encouraging them to participate, and help them with goal setting.
Program volunteers must attend an orientation, provide 2 references, a vulnerable sector police clearance and attend two observation sessions in order to fully participate as a volunteer. Please check out our wide range of programs at www.reboundonline.com to see what we have to offer the youth in our community.
Administrative Office Support Volunteer
Administrative Office Support volunteers needed to assist with a variety of administrative tasks.
Assist our clientele by answering phones and directing calls to the appropriate department. Filing, copying, stuffing envelopes, data entry and various duties as needed. Some roles require intermediate computer skills, while others require good organizational skills and being detail-oriented. Tasks are variable based on deadlines.
Bingo Volunteer
Lambton Elderly Outreach is currently looking for people to aid in their fundraising efforts through Bingo.
Volunteering for BINGO is so easy! Gone are the days of being a ‘runner’ because everything is done electronically so that all that is involved is clearing tables and promoting LEO. A short 30-minute training session is required and 2 hours of your time (hours are flexible) which provides the organization with BINGO shares. It’s a fantastic fundraiser!
Bingo sessions occur two (2), to three (3) times a month for two (2) hours slots.
No handling of cash is required.
Dress code is in effect as per OLG, and OCGA regulations. Black pants and we will provide a golf shirt.
Come out and chat with the players and enjoy time with the other volunteer at the session.
Volunteer Transportation
Transport clients to medical appointments, social engagements, and to do shopping/errands. A mileage reimbursement is offered.
REWARDS!
As a volunteer in this program you will be providing a needed service and assistance to clients that otherwise would not likely get out. You will have conversation and a feeling of giving back.
Volunteers use their personal vehicle to transport clients, and are reimbursed: mileage is calculated as a return trip from the client’s home to their destination and back.
Requirements:
- Valid ‘G’ license held for minimum of 2 years
- Clean driving record, driver’s abstract required
- Satisfactory criminal record check
Peer Social Club
Peer Social Club
Our services allow for clients to remain living at home, but The PEER Program is designed to get them out of the house!
This program is designed BY those 60 and over FOR those over 60 and adults with disabilities. It is intended to focus on engaging clients who want to connect with one another to share common experiences within the community and enjoy meaningful and social or volunteer opportunities together.
Imagine having a theme party, yes you are young enough to enjoy going to space, or crawling through the darkest cave and see the living creatures up close. Well some imagination required. But the Peer program is just that, participants use their imagination to decide what activity to do in the following months. Would you enjoy a euchre tournament, or have some music and games. The possibilities are endless.
If helping at such an event is something you may enjoy, we are offering opportunities throughout the county at different locations and times. I hope to meet you there.
Please contact the Volunteer Coordinator.
