Skills Required: Patient and kind nature Positive and supportive Open to finding different strategies and approaches Strong reading skills Bonus if you consider yourself an avid reader. In this role you are sparking the love of reading.
Activities: You will meet your Little Buddy reader at the front reception of the Sarnia downtown library Together you will find books that match your Little's skill level and interests You will find a quiet spot in the library and spend 20 minutes reading together

Additional Information: Interested volunteers age 18+ are required to provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Record check and AODA certification Teens needing O.S.S.D. volunteer hours are welcome to apply. Grade 8s who will be attending high school in September can count these volunteer hours\ This program is run by Literacy Lambton (103, 180 College Ave. N Sarnia, ON) but is hosted at the Sarnia downtown library branch (Wellington/Christina St.)
