VON is a not-for-profit, national health care organization and registered charity. VON Sarnia-Lambton is an integral part of local health care in Lambton County. Established in 1928 to service the needs of city and rural people in their homes VON symbolizes homecare in the Sarnia-Lambton area. The Sarnia-Lambton Branch currently delivers 15 different programs ranging from Visiting Nurses and Home Support to a variety of Foot Care, Pain Management and Flu Clinics. In addition to these recognizable services VON also provides Occupational Therapy in schools and homes, counseling services to children through the Kids’ Circle program and our new Falls Prevention Programs in local nursing homes and the community. VON also runs an Adult Day Program which benefits frail / elderly adults with cognitive impairments as well as Volunteer Visiting Programs supporting seniors and their caregivers. VON is also involved with the Lambton Student Nutrition Program which delivers healthy snacks to school aged children. Many of these programs are operated through the dedication of loyal volunteers who give their time and talents for the benefit of others in the community.
